Meet Our Team
Dr. Wendy Miller
DVM
Dr. Miller graduated from Paulding High School and attended Defiance College before going to Ohio State University to study veterinary medicine. After graduation, she briefly worked in the Columbus area before returning home to the Defiance Veterinary Clinic, where she had worked prior to attending OSU.
Dr. Miller takes an interest in a variety of veterinary subjects, including dermatology and ophthalmology, but particularly enjoys the relationships she makes as she watches her patients go from being puppies/kitties to adults to seniors.
In her free time, Dr. Miller enjoys working outside, reading, and playing piano. She lives with her husband, their four children, and their beloved turtle, Toby.
Dr. Amber Leskey
DVM
Dr. Amber Leskey is a veterinarian at Defiance Veterinary Clinic. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Findlay and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She is licensed to practice in Ohio.
A Defiance native, Dr. Leskey enjoys gardening, gaming, and puzzles in her free time. She is also happily married.
Lacey Y.
Hospital Manager
Lacey is thrilled to be back home in the Defiance area and couldn’t be more excited to be part of the Defiance Veterinary Clinic family! If you’ve been in the clinic recently, you may have already seen her filling in at the reception desk, answering phones, greeting clients, or jumping in wherever she’s needed. She loves being hands-on and getting to know both our team and the wonderful families we serve.Lacey has been in veterinary medicine for the past few years and previously worked in higher education at Hillsdale College. She brings a love for animals, a passion for people, and a whole lot of enthusiasm to her role here at the clinic.When she’s not at the clinic, Lacey enjoys spending time with her husband, Ryan, and her stepdaughter, Kinsey. She is also a proud animal mom to quite a crew and enjoys raising reptiles. She’s a big University of Michigan fan, so you’ll likely find her cheering on the Maize & Blue whenever she gets the chance! Lacey is excited to call Defiance Veterinary Clinic home and looks forward to getting to know all of you and your furry family members!
